Here at The Celtic Bhoys we’ve had plenty to share with you this month, let us help you make sure you haven’t missed out in June.

Did you see our Henrik Larsson giveaway coming soon or our exclusive with Victor Wanyama or some of our other great features?

During the last few weeks we’ve brought you:

  • a great giveaway from Henrik Larsson, opening today!
  • an exclusive interview with Victor Wanyama
  • more new writers at The Celtic Bhoys broadening our range of information for you
  • each day plenty of news, rumours and information about the players, the club and more.
  • an informative transfer round up each week
  • a great new club history feature.

Let’s have a look back at what you might have missed in June.

Players and Coaches

As you’d expect we’ve seen transfer rumours galore and lots of updates on players. In addition to Elyounoussi’s new loan it was great to see Odsonne Edouard happily start talking about staying for 10-a-row too.

With lots of speculation on players every day, our regular weekly summary will help keep you informed. It covers player transfer news and also our new coach Gavin Strachan replacing Damien Duff.

We also reported on a Twitter poll posing questions on whether Klimala will get a chance? Here’s what twitter told us.  Chris Sutton, of course, has his own positive views on the matter. And there was a look at Jack Aitchison returning to the fold from his loan at Forest Green Rovers.

Other player rumours saw our look at 3 potential goalkeepers at the start of June, where we highlighted Joe Hart as a possibility way back then, well before media articles over the last few days. And there’s always a wonder kid on loan story somewhere, this ones from Real Madrid!

The club gets back to business

Who wasn’t pleased by the getting back towards normal sight of the players returning to Lennoxtown for training and preparing for the new season? Scott Brown in particular was keen to get back to business quickly..

"“Now we just want to start kicking a ball again and get the rage back.”"

And we heard from his vice skipper Callum McGregor, who is maturing into a future captain role very nicely and has all the signs of a potential Celtic legend. We’re all keen to see the new Adidas kits too, they were leaked earlier in June and again over the last weekend. We’re starting to see more official pictures now though.

The club released news about virtual season tickets, which got plenty of honest views from some fans angry at the proposals and declaring it a shambles.

Plans for Champions League games, a potential qualifying risk and a nightmare on scheduling meaning it’s bye bye to Dubai with the winter break being cancelled  by SPFL for next season.

The Scottish Cup is back in play during 2020, we’ve no dates yet but it puts the Hoops in position to  secure a fourth consecutive straight treble.  That’d would be truly historic! Let’s not forget either how Celtic players dominated the SPFL team of the season voted for by fans online.

Our focus at The Celtic Bhoys to keep you informed saw the introduction of a new regular Hoops History feature, so far we’ve covered James McGrory, Martin O’Neill and Henrik Larsson along with a look back at Celtics top ten seasons.

We also shared thoughts on Celtic’s top ten ever purchases and then the top ten sales both of which have some interesting insight amongst the obvious records.

And what about the Rangers?

We also paused for thought on the Rangers who are getting increasingly desperate in their attempts to prepare to counter 10-in-a-row by Celtic. Explayer fairytales, wishful thinking and stories of more signings being spun regularly, while seeing signs also indicating the reality that selling players to raise funds will become more critical soon.

Moussa Dembele trolled them on twitter and we also took a fun look at the differences when Rangers and Celtic sign a player, see how many of these look familiar to you.

That was June, it’s great to see the preparation work as the Bhoys return to work, it won’t be long before we can see them in action and hopefully not too long before that can safely happen in front of fans.
