Tom Rogic still has a year left on his current deal that was signed in 2013. However, Celtic are trying to negotiate with him now.

Reports have emerged that talks haven’t been going so well between the club and the player right now. Apparently, Rogic turned down an offer that wasn’t satisfying enough to him in either the terms of money, or the amount of years.

The Celts are still negotiating with the player, but the time is only to be dragged on for a deal to get done.

Rogic is valued at 2 million pounds at the moment, but the value could be doubled to lock up his services. Regardless of the fact that he has missed a portion of playing time this season, the midfielder has still notched 4 goals and 7 assists in all competitions.

The worry to get a deal done is swirling around the media right now. But, there really shouldn’t be any worry at all.

We know how much Rogic loves Celtic, and most importantly, how much the supporters love him back. The 25-year-old doesn’t seem to be unhappy at all, he just wants a deal that fits for him and his life.

The Evening Times has noted that Rogic might use his World Cup time with Australia to boost his value over the summer.

More from The Celtic Bhoys

"Rogic will be part of the Australian team who compete at the World Cup in Russia this summer and it could be that the player sees that as an opportunity to put himself in the shop window."

Rogic does have the time to do such, but it seems kind of silly to even be negotiating with Celtic if he was planning to do that. The midfielder likely wouldn’t be having talks right now if he was to shop himself over the summer window.

However, it’s still unclear as to what the future holds for Rogic. Supporters all know about his issues with injuries this season, which have kept him on the sideline for some key contests.

Opinion: It all comes down to timing here. If Rogic waits, the anticipation only builds. But then again, talks are reported to have been continued. Sooner or later, it seems as if a deal has to get done between the two parties.

The value Rogic brings to the club is pretty high. Surely the Hoops missed his presence in the lineup against Zenit. His experience and knack for creating plays and goals keeps the love flowing between Rogic and Paradise.

Let Rogic come back and get some fixtures back under his belt. With time, he’ll earn minutes while hopefully get back into the form he was in before the injury.

Timing, timing and timing. Let the talks and worry float around the media for a bit, and then let it settle. Rogic has time, and Celtic does as well to secure his services.
