Martin O'Neill has revealed that he will be 'glued' to the Hearts vs Rangers match on Monday if his team win over Hibernian. The final game of the round is set to be a blockbuster occasion, and could end up deciding who goes top of the Scottish Premiership.

Speaking on Friday, he said: "I know that some managers say, oh well, don't bother, they'll go for a walk or do something. No, I'm glued to it.

"Don't you worry, I'll be there. If you're asking who I'm cheering on, I have no idea. Don't even ask, I have no idea.

"Depending on how we do, I might, if we don't win the game or lose the match, that becomes a different thought process, but at the end of it all, yeah, of course I'll be watching because we have to play those teams."

When asked if he might find himself cheering on a Rangers goal, he joked: "I might not go that far!"

Monday's match could be big for Celtic

If Celtic manage to beat Hibs on Sunday, Hoops fans will be keeping a close eye on what happens in Monday's match. It could be massive, as if Celtic win at Easter Road and Hearts lose to Rangers, that means that O'Neill's side will be tied on points at the top of the table.

That would set up the Glasgow derby perfectly, but it would also give the Gers a lot of motivation coming to Celtic Park if they managed to get one over on the Jambos. The last thing Celtic supporters will be doing is cheering on their rivals, but if that match can end with any points dropped, that is massive for us.

We can't focus too much on that fixture though, because we still have to overcome Hibs. It won't be an easy match in Edinburgh, and O'Neill has admitted that it's going to be a massive game. David Gray's side will put up a fight, but Celtic can't accept anything less than three points.

We're at the stage of the title race where every match needs to be a victory. Nothing less will do, and it could cost us everything if we were to drop any points. Of course, the most difficult games will be against Rangers and Hearts, but we can't get complacent going into the other fixtures. Anything can happen in the split, that's what makes it so exciting, and the Hoops need to be ready.
