A brace from captain Kelly Clark and a strike from Maria McAneny secured three points for Celtic against Partick Thistle at Petershill Park. Celtic sit in third on 46 points, tied on points with Hearts and four points off the top spot, albeit with Glasgow City still to play.
It didn't take long for the Hoops to get off the mark, with Clark striking it into the back of the net with just three minutes on the clock. Just five minutes later though, Thistle levelled things up with a goal from distance.
Grant Scott's side almost scored again in the 38th minute as Evie Rabjohn saw her headed effort cleared off the line. Just before half-time, the Celts were on the attack again as Poppy Pritchard managed to break through on goal. She was denied by the goalkeeper, who came out to claim.
All square going into the second 45, but Celtic came out fighting, seeing a few attempts well saved by the hosts. Players were doing their best to block shots, but eventually, McAneny popped up with an important goal to put the Hoops in the lead. A free kick was sent to the winger, and she took a good touch to get it over the goalkeeper.
It looked like it would be yet another draw for Celtic though, as with 89 minutes gone, Thistle found the equaliser with a free kick from distance. But in the fourth minute of added time, Clark knocked it past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net. An exciting way to end what proved to be a tricky game.

There's one thing for sure - Celtic won't go down without a fight!
What a game it turned out to be, even if we expected it to be a dominant victory for Celtic. Putting everything aside, three points were the most important thing at the Peasy, and they were thankfully secured by the skipper.
Notably, Chloe Craig and Shannon McGregor both made their returns in this match. That offers a massive boost to Celtic, with the players finally being match fit again.
The Celts are in a very difficult position in the title race, but if the Gers were to beat City later today, that would put Celtic only four points off the top spot. Although two draws to start the split weren't ideal, there is a chance that the Hoops could really go on and do this.
There is no room for error though. One loss now, even a draw, and it's all over. It was a close one today, so let's hope Scott's side give themselves an easier time next match.
