Kyogo Furuhashi could be the club’s main striker this season

In what was his first start for the Hoops, Furuhashi managed to find the back of the net, in what must have been a massive confidence booster for him and will hopefully help him settle into his new surroundings quickly.

While it is very early on in the season, Furuhashi could be the club’s main striker this season. After all, it was through the middle that he shined for Vissel Kobe and was the top scorer in the J1 League this season when the Hoops decided to make a move for him.

With Odsonne Edouard being linked with a move away from Parkhead and looking out of form at the moment, Furuhashi could certainly be the man to lead the line for the club moving forward.

He is not the type of centre-forward who will hold up the ball and be a physical presence in the box. But the Japanese star is quick, has good positioning, an eye for goal and the ability to create something out of nothing.

This tie is not over yet as defence remains a worry for Celtic

While the club looked very good up front and scored four goals, and probably should have scored more, it was a different story on the other end of the pitch.

Defence has been a worry for the Hoops for quite some time now and continues to be so. As a result, this tie is not over yet and the players will need to step up in the second leg, and get this over the line.

It is safe to say that the Hoops need to make additions at the back this summer. While he has performed well in recent games, Anthony Ralston remains the only option at right-back. On the other hand, neither Greg Taylor nor Boli Bolingoli have been very impressive during their respective times at Parkhead. And Postecoglou could certainly do with another option in the heart of defence as well.
