It is safe to say that Ange Postecoglou could do with a few more options in several positions all over the pitch. One of them is between the posts.

Vasilis Barkas made a decent start in pre-season but ended up making a few errors recently. As a result, the manager decided to give a start to Scott Bain tonight. He has not been very convincing in his performances either.

The Hoops were recently linked with a move for Joe Hart and they should definitely consider it at the moment. While he might not be brilliant at playing the ball out from the back, he has top level experience and is a commanding presence in the box. That is something that the club appear to be missing right now.

Celtic need a striker who can score consistently

At the top of his game, Odsonne Edouard is perhaps the best player in all of Scotland. Unfortunately, he has not been at the top of his game for a while now.

It is not just the Frenchman though. For quite some time, the Hoops have had a tough time finishing off their chances. They could have very possibly won both the games against FC Midtjylland if they had done so.

At the moment, they need someone in this team who can find the back of the net consistently. Let’s just hope that Kyogo Furuhashi has brought his scoring boots with him because he might need to hit the ground running.
