A number of changes are expected to take place at Celtic over the course of the next few months as the club aim for a major overhaul and return to the top of Scottish football as soon as possible.

While a few players leaving might not be a massive problem for the Hoops, them leaving for transfer fees lower than what they are rated at right now could be an issue. We have already seen Kristoffer Ajer being linked with a £6 million move to Newcastle United just a season after rumours suggested he was valued at around £25 million. And now, Jack Hendry looks set to complete a £2 million move to Belgian side KV Oostende.

The Scottish defender joined the side on loan last season after struggling for minutes at Parkhead. And he emerged as a star for the team through the course of the campaign, establishing himself as one of the best defenders in the Belgian league.

They had an option to buy in his loan deal for a transfer fee of around £2 million. And as reported by 90 Min, Hendry has committed to joining KV Oostende permanently after they triggered their option to sign him.

Hendry looks set to leave Celtic this summer

It has not been too long since Hendry scored a brilliant goal for the Scotland national team against Netherlands. And one has to wonder whether he deserved more chances to show his quality at Parkhead.

One would hope that in a few years time, the club does not look back and see him as another one that got away. After all, he has been linked with both Premier League and Championship clubs following his performances this season.

One thing is clear though, the Hoops will have to find suitable replacements for all the players who will leave the club over the summer. And that will not be an easy task, considering the fact that the likes of Odsonne Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer, Ryan Christie, all of whom are first-team regulars at the moment, are being linked with exits while Scott Brown is set to join Aberdeen in a player-coach role as well.
