It goes without saying that Celtic need to make a managerial appointment as soon as possible. Otherwise, it could mean a slow start to preparations for next season.
Everyone knows players will be leaving and there are worries about the gaps that these departures could leave in the squad.
On the other hand, it looks like the club are starting to prepare for the upcoming campaign in the background as well. It is believed that a transfer bid of around €6.5 million from the Hoops for Gabon international Aaron Boupendza was turned down recently.
There is some very interesting news on the other end as well though. As reported by Football Insider, Celtic have decided to terminate the contract of Olivier Ntcham a year early. The report suggests that the Frenchman has been told that he will be a free agent from next month.

Celtic could be set to part ways with Ntcham
Ntcham could very possibly have been headed for the exit already this summer. He is currently on loan at Marseille but has struggled to find his feet there as it is looking unlikely that he will remain at the Ligue 1 side beyond the end of his loan deal.
When the loan move took place, it was seen as a massive chance to impress the club and get a permanent move to Marseille at the end of the season. But according to stats from Transfermarkt, he has neither scored nor registered an assist for them. And now it looks very unlikely that Marseille will try to sign him on a permanent basis.
Even then, releasing him will come as a massive surprise to most fans. While he has not been anywhere near his best for some time now, Ntcham’s talent is not in question. Thus, one would be led to believe that his signature would still draw interest from clubs in the summer.
It is worth pointing out that the Hoops are believed to have rejected a transfer bid of around £13 million for the Frenchman back in 2018.
