Stunningly, Jose Mourinho has been linked with the Celtic job after departing Tottenham Hotspur a few days earlier. And while it is unlikely that the legendary Portuguese manager will end up at Parkhead, what would happen if he somehow did?
Earlier, we took a look at why he might not be the right for the Hoops. Now, it is time to look at the flip side of the coin and see why he might be a massive success at Parkhead.
First of all, the man knows nothing but success. Although he departed Tottenham Hotspur without a trophy, he did guide them to the League Cup final and who knows what could have happened if the club had decided to keep him on for just a week more.
He has won Champions League titles, he has won the UEFA Cup, the Europa League, both domestic and cup competitions in multiple countries. He is just a serial winner. And that is exactly what the Hoops might need after a trophyless season.

Mourinho could be the perfect man for the Celtic job
The most common thing that fans bring up whenever trying to find a negative in Mourinho’s game, it is the fact that his teams are often set up defensively.
But to be honest, that is not necessarily always the case. Just look at his Real Madrid sides for example. In two of his three seasons in Spain, they ended up outscoring Pep Guardiola’s FC Barcelona, one of the greatest sides ever assembled in football history, in La Liga.
They might have been known best for their quick and counterattacking football, but they were freely scoring goals at the same time, which is often forgotten.
Yes, it might not be possession based football but it is effective nonetheless and one would argue just as exciting, perhaps even more, when done right, as Real Madrid showed.
And there is no denying the fact that he has not been at his best in his last two spells, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. But that does not mean that he cannot turn it around. Maybe in that way, he would be perfect for Celtic. Two greats who have not had the best of times recently and are looking to find their mojo back.
