The football world is a buzz with rumors of transfers and signing of fresh talent, Celtic is not without news of transfers both set in stone and completely  fabricated.

So on this fine Sunday lets kick back and see what the transfer picture looks like.

Fraser Forster: Will he won’t he?

Forster has been one of the best loans first team has ever had, it’s frustrating to see that he is used so little at Southampton. The Saints are thinking of hanging onto the goalie, just in case, resulting in a waste of such a talented goalkeeper and leaving Celtic without one. Southampton gave him little room to shine, while The Bhoys gave him a key responsibility in snagging 9IAR. This result and display in talent has resulted in The Saints asking for a serious transfer fee.

This amount nearly priced The Bhoys out of their star keeper and a chance for Brendan Rodgers to poach the talent.

The rumor mill has churned out a number of eligible players to take the Englishman’s place, such as a Man City keeper.

He’s been spotted training at Lennoxtown with his Celtic teammates, so it may not be the end just yet.

Enter David Turnbull

There’s some great news for one Celtic hopeful who nearly had his Scottish dreams cut short. Turnbull was supposed to be heading to Parkhead last summer, but he tore his ACL and had to sit out for a number of months.

Turnbull is now again looking for a transfer to The Hoops from Motherwell. Celtic needed proof that he was fighting fit after months of rehab he impressed in a short window before the novel coronavirus hit.

He adds to a team that is undergoing a massive changeover, according to manager Neil Lennon. Turnbull is an experienced midfielder and will only strengthen the side in the 10IAR push.

There was period where he was uncertain about his future, but the Hoops might end up swooping in for the midfielder at the right time.

Kristoffer Ajer considers move

Ajer has been considering a move away from the Scottish giants, his manager revealed in a press release. The statement has irked many fans and pundits alike, as leaving before completing 10IAR seems like a bit of slap in the face to a club on the brink of making history. Chirs Sutton gave his thoughts on how staying a Celtic could benefit the youngster as he still has two years left on his contract.

There have been contingencies made if Ajer leaves during this transfer window.

Odsonne Edouard’s Future at Celtic

This transfer window has been a whirlwind of will they won’t they, and Odsonne Edouard is no exception. He scored 27 goals and assisted a further 19 in just 45 games for the Hoops last season. With stats like that it was no surprise when, high profile clubs sought him out. But it seems his future at Celtic is a solid one and he does not intend to move on this season.

It seems that the players are sticking around to achieve the unprecedented 10IAR under the banner of such a historic club as Celtic F.C.

The Push for Lyndon Dykes

Neil Lennon has been looking out for a strong forward, the only problem is that so are Rangers. Both teams have entered a bidding war for Lyndon Dykes after a fantastic run last season.

Celtic want Griffiths paired with Edouard up front, a combination that is sure to produce fireworks once the SPL returns.

Maryan Shved potentially bows out

During the 2019/2020 season, Shved totaled 40 minutes of game time with one goal in that short window. He does not factor into Lennon’s plans for the 10IAR and where he goes from here is uncertain, it seems like a move to his former club, Karpaty Lviv, is likely.

Emilio Izaguirre wants to do his part

Izaguirre has the inside track on a scorching hot prospect and wants to do his best to help Celtic brass secure him. They played together on the Honduras national team and Izaguirre is confident he can get the 24 year old to come to Parkhead as his cotract stateside has expired.
