The Scottish FA have responded to accusations by Hearts that pitch invaders dictated how the game ended, releasing the audio from the match for the sake of transparency.

There has been a lot of shade sent Celtic's way as their fans have been branded as villains by a lot of people around the country. The pitch invasion wasn't right, but it was in celebration of the Hoops winning their fifth consecutive Scottish Premiership, and no publicly available evidence suggests that the Jambos are correct in their statements against the Glasgow side.

The SFA have claimed from the beginning that they were made aware that the match had been ended and not abandoned before Celtic were even given the trophy. Yet, after Hearts confirmed that they had written to the SPFL and the SFA in a statement released on Wednesday, some people started to believe that the Tynecastle side were getting so brazen because they had been given damning audio.

They were right - the audio is damning. Just not in the way that everyone expected.

On Thursday, the SFA responded to claims and released the official footage from match officials. It shows us communication from before Hearts took their free kick, which then led to Callum Osmand scoring, all the way to the pitch invasion and the referee calling the game.

In the footage, referee Don Robertson confirms that Hearts were happy to draw the game to a close, stating that 'Derek McInnes has told me they are happy to finish'. This raises a lot of questions over their 'we've been cheated' narrative, as the audio has now proven that it is not the case.

Massive news, and not totally unexpected

This is massive news, but it isn't unexpected. Celtic fans could see this coming, even if everyone else denied it. It was clear from the moment the final whistle was blown that it was actually blown, and that there wasn't a massive conspiracy that everyone's trying to paint.

Hopefully, the release of this footage will finally put an end to this whole saga. It has been exhausting, and we all want to move on. Next season, it would be ideal for Celtic to wrap the title up sooner to avoid all of this nonsense. It's been incredible viewing, but extremely tiring.

Now, we can move on to more important topics, like the one of who will be Celtic's next manager. Jens Berthel Askou has officially completed his move to Ligue 1 side Toulouse, with Robbie Keane looking like the likely person to replace Martin O'Neill.
