The Scottish Premiership transfer carousel is up and running, but Celtic are yet to jump on at this stage. The Bhoys have had a painful start to the summer, but with Martin O'Neill in place, there is hope the club will catch up with its summer recruitment.
Rangers, Hearts and others have been more effective in the window so far, but the judgment will come when the window slams shut in early September. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news from around the top flight.
Celtic handed massive asking price
Celtic have been handed a big asking price for a midfield target this summer. The Hoops have been linked with Gvidas Gineitis, who currently plays for Torino. Gineitis could replace Arne Engels due to being a dominant midfielder.
According to TuttoSport via TuttoMercatoWeb, Celtic will have to pay around £8.5million, or 10million euros, to pull off a deal this summer. That will be seen as a huge fee, but clubs know the Bhoys will have the Engels money to spend, which is going to be more than £20million, and clubs are not going to sell to them on the cheap with that knowledge.
Rangers make offer
Rangers are said to have made an offer to sign Vanja Dragojevic from Partizan. According to Mozzart Sport, the Gers have offered £3.85million for the holding midfielder as they look to continue their summer spending following a £6million investment on a goalkeeper earlier this week.
According to the same outlet, Partizan actually want around £4.7million to strike a deal, so Rangers are short of that. Add-ons could make up the difference, but it remains to be seen what the reponse will be, with Dragojevic expected to leave this summer.
Partizan's sporting director Radosav Petrovic has said: "Regarding departures, you have been informed that a lot has been written about it.
"We are also working on it, there are certain indications and I believe that in the coming days we will have more concrete information. It is an offer for Vanja Dragojevic, and we also have something for Ugresic."
Kilmarnock plough on
Kilmarnock are said to be pushing ahead with their business, now working on a sixth new signing, according to the KillieChronicle.
engelsThe report claims Kilmarnock are working on a deal for an overseas player after jetting over to Northern Ireland with five new signings in the ranks. Kilmarnock are also bracing themselves for a Aaron Tshibola exit, with the World Cup star said to have interest from England and Turkiye.
