Celtic's move for Tomas Cvancara has not been official yet. And as long as that is not the case, fans cannot be certain that it will definitely happen. Everything had seemed to be in place for Jocelin Ta Bi as well before falling apart at the last-minute. Let's hope that is not the case when it comes to the Czech Republic international from Borussia Monchengladbach.

It is more than likely though that Celtic will be completing the deal for Cvancara soon, as everything has been agreed with both the club and the player. But he might not be the only striker who arrives at Parkhead this winter.

It has always been suggested that Celtic will look to bring in more than one striker in this window. Now, another centre-forward's name has emerged as a potential signing for the Hoops.

As reported by Transferfeed, amid Celtic's search for a striker, Sparta Rotterdam's Tobias Lauritsen, has been identified as a player who could fulfil the role. The Norwegian, whose contract is valid until June 2026, has also been linked with PSV and Feyenoord.

Lauritsen has been a consistent performer since joining Sparta Rotterdam. He has scored 49 goals and provided 20 assists in 129 appearances for the Eredivisie club.

He has been at his goalscoring best in the ongoing campaign, having scored 11 goals in 22 games, alongside providing 4 assists. And while there is a lot to like about Cvancara, he is not a striker in form at the moment. Lauritsen is.

The best-case scenario for Celtic would be if they can find two consistent goalscorers in this winter window. Lauritsen has a very similar profile to Cvancara though. One has to wonder whether the Hoops will go for someone like him as the other option up top, or go for somebody with a different style of play.
