Celtic are now on break for just under three weeks due to an extended international break, and they went into the break on the back of three straight defeats, including two Old Firm losses that will sting for some time.

The Bhoys have a lot to improve during the break, and there is already talk of Martin O'Neill's tenure coming to an end, so as much as anything, they need to silence the outside noise by the time they return to action.

In the meantime, we have rounded up the injury latest at Parkhead.

Alistair Johnston

Johnston has been dealing with a hamstring injury since near enough the start of the season, and he will be hoping to return either after the international break or shortly after.

Landon Emenalo

The late summer loan signing arrived from Chelsea with an injury and will be expected back some time in October.

Joel van den Berg

We don't know a lot about Van den Berg's issue, which has not been spoken about. But the midfielder is clearly injured having been left out, while he was spotted over the weekend in a walking boot, perhaps suggesting an ankle issue. But we don't know what the issue is, or indeed how long the midfielder will be out for.

Callum Osmand

The young striker has been dealing with an ankle injury over the last few weeks, but he is expected to return over the course of the international break and should return after it.

Kieran Tierney

Tierney picked up a fresh issue during the Old Firm on Sunday having recently spent time out through injury. We don't know the nature of the blow, only that the full-back has withdrawn from the Scotland squad. It didn't look like anything serious, and with the break lasting three weeks, it's expected Tierney will be back by the time club football returns.

Jota

Jota has been back in light training for a couple of weeks following his long-term knee issue. With another three weeks to increase his load, Jota won't be too far off by the time club football returns. Realistically, the winger is looking at a return around the end of October, but it can't be ruled out that he advances a little quicker or takes a little longer, given the nature of the injury and how careful clubs must be when a player is returning to fitness. Such players are at bigger risk of muscular issues, and Celtic won't want to put Jota at risk of another long spell on the sidelines.
