Celtic lost a second successive Old Firm on Sunday as they lost 1-0 to Rangers at home, and here we rate the players from the performance.
Celtic started better compared to the last meeting between these two sides, and they even had an early goal rightly ruled out for offside, but it was the visitors who took the lead in the 33rd minute through Ryan Naderi.
A powerful effort from the edge of the box forced Viljami Sinisalo into a low save, and the rebound fell to Naderi, who didn't have anyone near him as he slotted home into the empty net.
The second half didn't start well for Celtic, who required a big early save from Sinisalo. Celtic remained sloppy after that, although Rangers didn't do a whole lot more in a game that lacked quality for the most part. Badredine Bouanani produced a wonderful finish in the 75th minute, but only after the ball rolled down his arm, and VAR disallowed it.
Celtic didn't even manage any real push for an equaliser late on, with Rangers remaining in control of their own destiny, and that destiny was a big three points away from home in the Old Firm.
Here's how we rated the Celtic players from another disappointing occasion.
Viljami Sinisalo - 6
You could perhaps argue he should have pushed the shot for the Rangers goal away from goal, and that is certainly fair, but it was a powerful shot, and he should have been helped by his defenders. Made a smart save down low early in the second half, pushing well clear of those waiting for a rebound. Sinisalo also did well to prevent a tap in during the second half, reaching to tip it beyond the path of the nearest Rangers player. A big block was still required, but it would have been an instant goal had it not been for the touch.
Liam Scales (Off at 89') - 5
Solid enough defensively for the most part, but there were too many sloppy passes.
Auston Trusty - 4
Gave Gassama a big chance shortly after the opening goal by failing to track his man. He also lost his man for the goal.
Cameron Carter-Vickers - 7
Provided a big block to deny a certain goal shortly after the first goal. In the second half, he also cleared one off the line. A very good performance from Carter-Vickers.
Kieran Tierney (Off at 70') - 6
Hit the post with a fine first-half shot and looked more comfortable in the wing-back role after some defensive issues of late.
Colby Donovan - 5
Donovan did okay, but his deliveries were very poor, and they have to be better when playing wing-backs.
Mika Baur - 5
Kept the ball moving but didn't have any real say on the game.
Callum McGregor - 3
McGregor is really struggling to get a hold of the midfield at the moment. He is beaten too easily and he is not particularly productive on the ball, either. The worst part is that Celtic don't have the depth to make a change.
Luke McCowan (Off at 45') - 6
McCowan was actually one of the better midfielders in the first half. It's understandable O'Neill wanted to bring on an attacker, but McCowan's removal seemed to be down to reputation alone.
Benjamin Nygren (Off at 62') - 4
He wasn't best pleased to be taken off, but he offered next to nothing.
Camilo Durán (Off at 60') - 3
Lacked effort and conviction in almost everything he did. Durán opted out of runs he should have been made and was simply not in the game.
Substitutes
Kasper Hogh (On at 45') - 4
Ineffective again. Rarely found himself in dangerous positions.
James Forrest (On at 62') - 6
Showed plenty of endeavour when on the ball. He was moved to a central role for the last 20 minutes, which reduced his impact.
Sebastian Tounekti (On at 60') - 5
Not really in the game. He didn't do much wrong, but didn't add anything.
Haissem Hassan (On at 60') - 4
So, so poor. Hassan's delivery was really poor here, with his only decent cross coming in stoppage time.
Shim Mheuka (On at 89') - N/A
Not enough time to impact the game.
