Motherwell star Elijah Just is the subject of interest for Celtic and Rangers, who are set to battle for his signature in the summer.
Celtic have been considering the player for a while after he performed brilliantly this season. His side is currently sitting in fourth place under Jens Berthel Askou, who may be a candidate for the Hoops dugout, and has been great throughout the campaign.
The Gers are now interested in him as well and could be looking at him to replace Mikey Moore should they fail to re-sign him from Tottenham. Just will offer a major goal threat for whoever signs him, so the Celts really can't afford to lose out on him.
Out of everyone at Motherwell, he is only beaten out on goal involvements by one player - Tawanda Maswanhise. He has been in fantastic form for the Well, so it comes as no surprise, and it's impressive that Just has managed almost to top the charts.
Should the Hoops move for Just?
It would be a good move for Celtic to bring Just to the club, and considering he's a domestic option, it may be one that the board look to get over the line quickly. They may be able to pull him to the club with offers of playing for a top Scottish side.
Just offers much-needed creativity at Celtic. It has been something that has been missing this season, with strikers like Johnny Kenny, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Tomas Cvancara often being starved of service. If we want to have a much better time next season, bringing in players who can send a good cross or a deadly ground ball into the box is key.
Apart from looking for creative players, the Hoops will also be looking for a guaranteed goalscorer. Cvancara has expressed his interest in joining the club permanently, but he hasn't managed to find his form yet and likely won't win a move.
Junior Adamu will return to his parent club after a disappointing loan spell so far, with Iheanacho's contract set to expire with no extension in sight.
Celtic are looking to bolster their options with young striker Ali Avila, whom they have had their eye on for a while. Kasper Hogh from Bodo/Glimt is another option, but the Celts would have to cough up £16 million to make that deal happen.
Whatever happens, it's clear that Celtic are ready to make moves in the transfer market, so let's hope it can be a much better window this time around.
