Brendan Rodgers had great success as Celtic manager in his two stints in charge of the club. He won the Scottish Premiership four times, three Scottish Cups, and the Scottish League Cup on four occasions.

His reputation has been knocked as he resigned this season, with the club trailing Heart of Midlothian in Scotland's top flight. He was then damned by the Celtic majority shareholder, Dermot Desmond, in a statement on the club's website.

Despite this, Rodgers still has an impressive CV, which includes extensive Premier League experience. Therefore, it will likely not be long before we see the former Celtic manager back in the dugout.

Four clubs that Brendan Rodgers could end up at after leaving Celtic

Leicester City

When Rodgers left Celtic after his first stint at the club, it was to become the manager of former Premier League champions Leicester City. He had success with the Foxes, where he won the FA Cup and the Community Shield.

Rodgers also managed them in the Europa League and Europa Conference League, but did not quite manage to get them into the Champions League. Leicester struggled in a post-COVID world as their owner, King Power, is a retail group that suffered drastically during the pandemic.

He left the club during the 2022/23 season, when Leicester would eventually be relegated from the Premier League. The Foxes were back in England's top flight last season, but now find themselves back in the Championship.

Martí Cifuentes is Leicester's current manager, but they are 12th in the division. Rodgers has guided a team up from the Championship before with Swansea City. The Foxes may want to take a chance on their former boss to get them back to the Premier League.

Leeds United

As Rodgers has not managed in the Championship since his time at Swansea, he may feel that he is above dropping down to the second tier of the English pyramid. However, if he is to get a Premier League job, it would be likely to be with one struggling in the division.

Leeds United, who are just above the relegation zone, could be an option for Rodgers. They are managed by Daniel Farke, who is under pressure to keep the Elland Road side in the Premier League. The Leeds hierarchy could turn to Rodgers to keep them in the league.

Northern Ireland

After being in management for nearly 20 years, Rodgers may feel that it is time to head into international coaching. He is Northern Irish and represented them at the school level.

Northern Ireland has a slim chance of making it to the World Cup next year. They have to beat Slovakia to finish second in their group in order to make the playoffs. They are currently managed by Michael O'Neill, but there could be a change in the dugout if the country fails to make it to the World Cup.

The Republic of Ireland job could also be available if they also do not qualify for the tournament in North America next year. Northern Irishmen have managed Ireland in the past. This includes the current Celtic interim manager, Martin O'Neill, who played for Northern Ireland.

Beşiktaş

Rodgers may need to go abroad to rebuild his reputation as a manager. One of his predecessors at Celtic, Neil Lennon, went on to manage Omonia in Cyprus and the Romanian side Rapid București before returning to Scotland with Dunfermline Athletic.

As Rodgers is notable, the former Liverpool manager, he will likely be able to be in the reckoning for some big jobs on the continent. Turkey could be an option, and Beşiktaş has been known to take a chance on big-name coaches, including Ole Gunnar Solskjær in the past.

Solskjær was sacked earlier in the season after failing to qualify the club for Europe. His replacement, Sergen Yalçın, has since had mixed results. Therefore, the Süper Lig giants could soon have a vacancy, for which Rodgers might be a contender.
