Celtic worry amidst Kyogo Furuhashi injury mystery
It is safe to say that Kyogo Furuhashi has quickly established himself as one of the most important and popular players at Celtic ever since joining the club this summer. Thus, it is no surprise that the fans are worried regarding a possible injury that the player suffered while away with the Japan national team.
Kyogo was forced off the pitch clutching his knee early in the second half of the Japan national team’s recent game against China. Since then though, not much news has emerged regarding the injury situation.
No update appears to have come out regarding the nature or the extent of the injury. And Kyogo himself has not said anything about it either.
In fact, Kyogo posted a couple of pictures and a message on his Twitter earlier but it had no mention or indication of an injury:

Could this be a positive for Celtic?
Considering that there has been no mention regarding the extent or nature of a Kyogo injury, it is very possible that he might not have picked up a major problem and was just substituted off as a precaution.
Of course, until there is some news regarding the matter, Celtic fans will remain worried about the situation surrounding Kyogo.
He is one of the most important parts of Ange Postecoglou’s team, especially following the departure of Odsonne Edouard on deadline day. If Kyogo does end up missing the club’s upcoming games, it will be interesting to see who the manager decides to field up top.
At this moment, the two other players in the squad who are capable of playing at striker are Georgios Giakoumakis and Albian Ajeti.
Giakoumakis himself arrived on transfer deadline day and has not even made his debut for the club yet. On the other hand, Ajeti has not played a lot of football this season either. Thus, it will certainly be an interesting decision to make for Postecoglou if the situation calls for it.
