Kyogo Furuhashi has been absolutely brilliant ever since joining Celtic earlier in the summer. In a short span of time, he has managed to become a fan favourite and is most probably the most important player in Ange Postecoglou’s side at the moment.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 7 goals and provided an assist in 9 appearances for the Hoops so far.

Kyogo’s movement is brilliant and he finds himself in the right place at the right time very often. Even against the Rangers, it was he who was involved in most of the big chances that Postecoglou’s side had on the day. While his decision making let him down in that game, there is a lot to be excited about for the future.

But as reported by Glasgow Live, Kyogo came off injured clutching his knee while playing for the Japan national team against China. The extent of the injury has not been confirmed yet. And it is not hard to see why it could be a massive worry for Celtic.

Celtic handed massive Kyogo injury worry

It goes without saying that Kyogo is very vital to Postecoglou’s side. It is his movement up top that has created a lot of chances for them. Thus, the Hoops will be hoping that this is not a serious injury and the Japanese star will be back in action soon.

With Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths having left on deadline day, they do not have a lot of options at striker right now.

Georgios Giakoumakis himself arrived on deadline day of the summer transfer window while Albian Ajeti has not played a lot of football till now this season. Thus, it will be interesting to see what kind of a line up Postecoglou decides to go with in case Kyogo is not available in the upcoming games.
