Celtic have made quite a few additions to their squad over the course of the summer transfer window. One of those areas where they could do with a few more options though is striker.

Over the summer, we saw Odsonne Edouard and Vakoun Issouf Bayo leave the club on permanent deals, while Leigh Griffiths has departed on a season-long loan to Dundee FC. On the other hand, Kyogo Furuhashi and Georgios Giakoumakis have arrived.

Kyogo has already made a big impact at Parkhead and established himself as a fan favourite. On the other hand, Giakoumakis was the top scorer in the Eredivisie last season and big things would naturally be expected of him as well. If both do end up playing together in the first-team though, it would leave Albian Ajeti as the only other recognised striker in the squad.

Thus, Postecoglou might be a bit short of options up top. Interestingly, as reported by Football Insider, Celtic have set their sights on signing Kyle Hudlin from Solihull Moors. Hudlin currently holds the record for being the tallest outfield professional footballer in Britain standing at 6 feet 9 inches.

Could Hudlin be a good signing for Celtic?

Solihull Moors currently play in the National League, the fifth tier of English football. And according to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 10 goals in 38 appearances for them.

As a result, the transfer links are certainly very interesting. On one hand, it is clear to see what he brings to the table. He will be a physical presence up top for any team in the world. But on the other hand, one has to wonder whether he can make the jump to playing for the Hoops.

Manchester City have been linked with Hudlin in the recent past as well while Middlesbrough and Cardiff City are believed to have a potential interest in the striker too.
