Things are certainly picking up pace at Celtic at the moment. The club have brought in Jota and Georgios Giakoumakis on transfer deadline day, while Ryan Christie has departed for Bournemouth. Odsonne Edouard is expected to leave as well.
Now it remains to be seen if there are more incomings or outgoings before the transfer window slams shut. Most fans would be hoping for an arrival or two more, but at this point of time, that does feel unlikely although there can always be surprises in football.
It is not just permanent exits that have taken place today though. Three players have departed Parkhead on season-long loan deals till now as well.
The biggest one of the three is of course that of Leigh Griffiths, who has joined Dundee FC until the end of the season. And we might have seen the last of the striker in a Celtic shirt. On the other hand, Lee O’Connor has joined Tranmere Rovers while Scott Robertson has joined Crewe Alexandra.

Celtic have enjoyed a solid summer transfer window
With the summer transfer window set to come to a close soon, it is safe to say that the club have enjoyed a solid one. They have signed players like Liam Shaw, Osaze Urhoghide, Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi, Carl Starfelt, Joe Hart, James McCarthy, Josip Juranovic, Liam Scales and Giakoumakis, while Jota has joined on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
Yes, there are still certain areas in the squad where they need more depth. But considering the magnitude of the squad rebuild that was required this summer, they have certainly done well.
The team has also shown a lot of improvement under Ange Postecoglou over the past couple of months and hopefully that will continue. One also has to consider the possibility that the club could end up making moves for players in the J1 League in January.
