Celtic star appears to be on the verge of Parkhead exit

Celtic came into this transfer window knowing that the squad needed to undergo a massive rebuild in order to compete for the Premiership title after finishing 25 points behind the Rangers last season.

And it must be said that the club have made quite a few solid additions to their squad over the course of the summer transfer window. While they did lose 1-0 at the hands of the Rangers at Ibrox, it was a very close game and could have easily gone the way of Ange Postecoglou’s side if they had taken their chances in front of goal.

One man who missed a golden chance to put the Hoops ahead in the first-half itself is Odsonne Edouard. And it looks like it might have been the Frenchman’s last game for the club as he appears to be close to a Parkhead exit.

Edouard looks to be on the verge of leaving Celtic

Edouard has been linked with a move away from Celtic for a long time now and most people would have expected him to have departed the club already. But it has not happened yet.

It does not look like the move is far away though as the Frenchman might be closing on a move to Crystal Palace. It remains to be seen if the deal gets over the line.

If he does end up departing Parkhead, it will be interesting to see how the club replace him with the transfer window set to slam shut soon. While Georgios Giakoumakis is believed to be closing in on a move to Parkhead himself, one has to feel that the club might need another striker even then, if Edouard completes a move away. Could we be in for an exciting transfer deadline day?
