The magnitude of the transformation needed in the Celtic squad could mean movement right up to the summer transfer window deadline. In amongst all the news about possible exits, there is an exciting update regarding a winger possibly coming in on loan.
While Liel Abada has done spectacularly well ever since coming in and made the right wing position his own, the same cannot be said about the opposite flank. On top of that, Mikey Johnston and Karamoko Dembele got injured in pre-season. Thus, Postecoglou could do with more options there.
As reported by the Daily Record, Filipe Jota is on the transfer radar of Celtic as Postecoglou is looking to add to his squad and the 22-year-old has emerged as a potential option.
Currently at Benfica, he spent the previous season on loan at Real Valladolid in La Liga. It’s believed that the Portuguese giants are open to letting him leave on loan again in order to gain more experience.

Would Jota be a good signing for Celtic?
Jota has featured for Portugal at multiple youth levels and has been brilliant for those sides over the years. He has not quite found his feet at the senior level yet though.
According to stats from Transfermarkt he scored 2 goals in 18 appearances for Real Valladolid last season.
Thus, it will be interesting to see if Celtic do end up making a loan move for him this summer and if they do, how things turn out for Jota at Parkhead. He appears to be a great dribbler of the ball and seems ready to take his man on. He has also shown an eye for a goal at youth level but has not managed to find the back of the net consistently in senior football till now.
Signing a left winger could be a good decision on the part of the Hoops considering the lack of depth there right now. It remains to be seen if they are able to do so with the transfer window set to close soon.
