Odsonne Edouard has been linked with a Celtic exit for a long time now. Most people probably would have expected him to have left the club by now, with less than a year left on his current deal. But as we approach the close of the summer transfer window, the French striker is still at Parkhead.
That might change soon though as rumours continue to swirl around the future of Edouard as it looks like it is very possible that a club could decide to make a late move for him.
Bordeaux and Rubin Kazan are the two teams who appear to have emerged as the frontrunners for Edouard’s signature recently. But it looks like Everton could be keeping an eye on the French striker as well.
As tweeted out by Kaveh Solhekol, Everton have sounded out Celtic about a deal for Edouard:

Edouard could end up leaving Celtic this summer
It is safe to say that this has been an incredible summer transfer window so far and could Edouard end up departing Parkhead towards its end? It is certainly a possibility to say the least.
With Edouard being in the final 12 months of his contract at the club, it is expected that they would be open to the prospect of letting him leave for the right offer before the transfer window closes rather than lose him as a free agent less than a year later. Could it be Everton who he ends up joining?
That is something that only time will tell. But right now, it looks like everything is open and there are a number of possible scenarios that could take place over the next few days.
Edouard could end up departing Parkhead soon. Or he could end up remaining at the club for the season. Both of them are possible at this point of time.
