Joe Hart has made the first-team gloves his own ever since arriving at Celtic. And while there have already been both good and bad moments involving the goalkeeper, overall, it does feel like that the club would be happy with the job he has done.

At 34 years of age, it is safe to say that Hart is not the player that he was during his prime. But he has brought some much needed solidity at the back even though things are still far from perfect in defence. His leadership qualities have also been a welcome boost to the side.

Last season, Hart was at Tottenham Hotspur and at the start of the summer transfer window, not many fans would have expected him to end up at Parkhead. But that is exactly what has happened.

Now, the goalkeeper has revealed what Ange Postecoglou told him before his move to Celtic. As reported by the Daily Mail, Hart said:

"“He said to me: ‘I do my research. I’ve not needed to do one bit of research on you as a goalkeeper, as I don’t need to.’ That made me feel good, first and foremost. He told me he had spoken to people I had played with in the past and people in the game — just about you. To come and do the job I want from you, I just needed to know about you as a person.”"

Hart has been a solid addition to this Celtic side

Now, it goes without saying that Hart’s time at Parkhead has not been perfect. There have been moments where he could have and perhaps should have done better.

The first goal that the Hoops conceded against AZ Alkmaar in the second leg of their Europa League play-off round tie comes to mind. Hart should have reacted quicker and it could have been avoided.

But then, one cannot overlook the positive impact that he has made. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has kept 4 clean sheets in his 7 appearances for the Hoops till now. And there have been some solid saves that he has made for the club already as well. Thus, individually he is having a decent time. On the other hand, his experience and leadership skills have been a massive boost to this team as a whole.
