Celtic have made quite a few solid signings this summer. The likes of Kyogo Furuhashi and Liel Abada have already started to make their presence felt at Parkhead and look like potential superstars in the making. On the other hand, Joe Hart has appeared to bring some much needed calmness at the back although things could still improve there, as we saw in the recent game against AZ Alkmaar.

And Ange Postecoglou will be hoping that the club’s other new signings can make a similar impact soon as well as they settle into their new surroundings.

But it does look like the club are going to make even more additions to their squad before the summer transfer window closes. One man that they have been heavily linked with recently is Liam Scales. And it does look like a move for the Shamrock Rovers star is not far away.

As reported by Glasgow Live, Scales is set to undergo his Celtic medical tomorrow after making his Shamrock Rovers bow this evening.

Scales is set to undergo his Celtic medical

Scales is one of the most highly rated talents in League of Ireland right now. He has been linked with moves to the Premier League and the English Championship recently, but it looks like he is headed to Parkhead this summer.

Scales could certainly prove to be a solid addition to this squad. He is the kind of defender that the Hoops do not have at the club right now. And his versatility could be a huge asset as well, as the 23-year-old is capable of playing as a centre-back, a left-back and as a left wing-back. Those are all positions that Postecoglou could do with an option in.

We know that things can change very quickly in football and a deal is not over the line yet. But for the time being, it looks like it is only a matter of time before Scales arrives at Parkhead.
