Ange Postecoglou deserves a lot of credit for the job that he has done at Parkhead till now. At the start of the campaign, it was looking like Celtic could be in for another difficult campaign. But with new signings arriving and the players adjusting to the new system, results have started to turn around.

The Hoops have certainly been very impressive over the past few weeks. They have won six straight games now while playing some brilliant football and outscoring their opponents 24 to 4 over the course of these games.

Even then, there are still a few positions that the club might be looking to make additions in before the summer transfer window closes, although things could depend on whether players end up departing the club as well. And Postecoglou has given an update on the situation.

As reported by the Daily Record, Postecoglou said:

"“We’re still working hard to bring in one or two, absolutely. The tricky part about this end of the window is you, kind of, don’t know what outgoings you might have, which could affect things.“So, we’ve got contingency plans in place and we’re talking to a number of targets to see what business we can do. We still need one or two more in the group, for sure, and that’s what we’ll do.“What positions? They may depend on who may or may not be leaving and on that front there’s nothing concrete that’s happened yet.”"

Postecoglou has shed some light on Celtic’s transfer plans

Celtic’s transfer plans appear to be flexible at the moment and a lot of it will depend on what happens in terms of outgoings as well. Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie are two players who have been heavily linked with Parkhead exits but it is very possible that they might end up staying as well.

As things stand, the Hoops must be quite happy with the transfer window that they have had. The club have brought in the likes of Kyogo Furuhashi, Liel Abada, Carl Starfelt, Joe Hart, James McCarthy, Josip Juranovic, Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide already.

While a few of them have already started to make their presence felt at Parkhead with their spectacular performances, a few more have the ability and potential to do the same as they settle into their new surroundings.

Bringing in a few more players will strengthen the squad even further. On the other hand, it is very promising to see that the club are ready to react in case players end up departing Parkhead.
