It is safe to say that Celtic are in brilliant form at this point of time. It looks like the players are starting to adjust to Ange Postecoglou’s system and the recent results have been spectacular.
After a difficult start to their campaign, the Hoops have now won six games on the trot. And it is not only the results that have been impressive but the performances as well. Over these six games, the club have managed to outscore their opponents 24 to 4.
One thing that has been very impressive about their performances lately is the fact that the players do not drop their intensity even when the team is in a big lead. And that appears to be how Postecoglou wants them to play. The game against St Mirren is a good example of that, as they went into half-time with a 4-0 lead but ended up winning the game 6-0.
Stephen Welsh has shed some light on what the manager told the players at half-time. As reported by the Daily Record, the Celtic defender said:
"“The intensity was there right until the end. That’s what the gaffer said at half-time.“Even though we were four goals up and they were a man down, he said that the next 45 minutes we had to keep up that intensity, show a level and show how good we were. I thought we did that. We could have scored more goals but winning 6-0, you’ll definitely take that.”"

Celtic have been brilliant in recent games
Yes, it is still very early on in the season. But the signs are very promising for Celtic and one cannot help but be excited about what is to come in the future.
The players must definitely be commended for how quickly they appear to have adjusted to Postecoglou’s style of football. The manager has only been at the club for about two months and we are already seeing them play some incredible football.
One would hope that things are going to get even better moving forward. But for now, the team’s focus should be on one game at a time. The next game is the second leg of the Europa League play-off round tie against AZ Alkmaar. Postecoglou’s side will be going into the game with a 2-0 aggregate lead. But considering how open the first leg was, this tie is far from over and Celtic will have to put in a solid performance on the night.
