While most would have expected him to have left by now, Odsonne Edouard’s Celtic future remains up in the air as he continues to be linked with a Parkhead exit.

The Frenchman is currently in the final 12 months of his deal with the Hoops and as a result, it is not hard to see why he is expected to depart the club in the near future. At the start of the summer, a move to Leicester City appeared to be on the cards but that failed to materialise.

Now, there have been some rumours which have suggested that he could end up staying at Parkhead for the final year of his deal and has even appeared to find a bit of form in the last few games. But all things considered, it might be best for both the club and the player if a transfer took place this summer.

As tweeted out by Ryan Taylor, it looks like Crystal Palace might be the most likely destination for Edouard if a move was to take place and the Hoops are believed to be looking for a transfer fee around £15 million:

Could Edouard be on his way out of Celtic soon?

While Edouard has scored a few goals recently, overall, he has not been in great form recently. Kyogo Furuhashi has looked much more convincing and effective when playing up top.

It must also be pointed out that the Hoops have been heavily linked with a move for Georgios Giakoumakis, who topped the Eredivisie scoring charts last season, in recent months. Could that be because they are preparing for Edouard leaving?

At the top of his game, Edouard might very well be the best player in the entire Scottish Premiership. He has not been at his best for a while though and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the French striker.
