Celtic are in brilliant form at the moment. Their 6-0 win over St Mirren was their sixth victory in a row. They have also played some tremendous football during that period time, outscoring their opponents 24 to 4.

It is safe to say that that is an incredible run, especially considering their 2020/21 campaign and the start to this campaign as well. The Hoops are clearly finding their rhythm under Ange Postecoglou and one cannot help but get excited about what is to come in the future if these are just the early signs.

It must be said though that this squad is not perfect and there are still a few positions where they could do with more additions in. One of them is striker. Odsonne Edouard continues to be linked with a Parkhead exit this summer while neither Leigh Griffiths nor Albian Ajeti has impressed in recent times.

Peter Martin tweeted out earlier that Celtic are keen on a move for Kevin Nisbet with Griffiths plus a transfer fee going to Hibernian. And when asked about the striker, as reported by the Daily Record, Postecoglou said:

"“I ain’t quashing, or denying or confirming, y’know.”"

Would Nisbet be a good signing for Celtic?

Postecoglou would be expected to keep his cards close to his chest. It is not hard to see why the Hoops might possibly be interested in someone like Nisbet though. He had a good 2020/21 campaign with Hibernian. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 18 goals and provided 8 assists in 44 appearances last season.

He could certainly be an interesting signing for the club. He has a fantastic goalscoring record over the past few years at multiple clubs and at 24 years of age, he would only be expected to get better moving forward.

Of course, it will all depend on whether the Hoops are able to get a deal for him over the line. They have been linked with a potential move for Nisbet for a while now.
