Turnbull was one of the bright spots for Celtic in what was a disappointing 2020/21 season for them. But he did not start very well under Postecoglou this time around.

Many even felt that he was not suited to Postecoglou’s style of football. The manager continued to play him though and we are already seeing the results.

Turnbull got a brace against FK Jablonec in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round tie. And then, he scored a hattrick in the 6-0 win against St Mirren.

Let’s just hope that he can continue to develop his game under Postecoglou. He was already looking like a good player last season. In this team and with the kind of football that they are playing, he can very possibly take the next step forward.

Anthony Ralston is undroppable right now

Anthony Ralston must be commended for the performances that he has put in this season. He has been truly brilliant and deserves a lot of praise. He was sensational against St Mirren as well and it looks like he is getting better with every game.

At the start of the season, many believed that the right-back spot was an area of weakness for the Hoops. But after Ralston’s recent performances and the signing of Josip Juranovic, it might very well be one of their strongest positions on the pitch.

Considering the current form that Ralston is in, Juranovic will certainly have a tough task on his hands getting into the first-team at the moment. The 22-year-old might very well be undroppable right now. He has been that good.

Of course, competition for places is always a positive. And the two things that the Hoops might still need to add to this squad this summer, is a left-back and a centre-back.
