Celtic have certainly made quite a few signings this summer. But that was almost expected considering the magnitude of the squad rebuild that was required at Parkhead following the disappointing 2020/21 campaign.

Liam Shaw, Osaze Urhoghide, Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi, Carl Starfelt, Joe Hart and James McCarthy had already arrived at Parkhead. And now, the Hoops have managed to sign Josip Juranovic as well.

The Croatian international can be a spectacular signing for the club and be a great fit in Ange Postecoglou’s system. He has some solid experience at both club and international level. With his arrival as well as the recent form of Anthony Ralston, right-back might be one of the best positions in the club’s current squad.

It does not look like the Hoops will stop here though and could make even more signings before the summer transfer window closes. As reported by the Daily Record, Postecoglou said:

"“I prefer to talk about the ones we have done, there is still some work we’re doing off the field, hopefully we will be able to make some announcements in the next few days.”"

When asked whether he was confident about more deals coming, he said:

"“Absolutely. For sure.”"

Celtic look set to make more signings this summer

Things are certainly looking up for the Hoops at the moment. They have won six games on the trot and are playing some sensational football as well, outscoring their opponents 24 to 4 over these six games.

While it is still early in the season, it is hard not to get excited about things to come in the future, especially after how Postecoglou appears to have managed to transform this team within a short space of time.

And the fact that the club could end up making more signings this summer would only make them stronger moving forward. Centre-back and left-back are two positions where they might need to strengthen in while a new striker might be on the club’s wish list as well. It is certainly a very exciting time to be a Celtic fan.
