Things are starting to look up for Celtic after a difficult start to the season. The Hoops have won four games on the trot now, playing some incredible football in these games and outscoring their opponents 16 to 4.

That is certainly impressive, especially considering how quickly Postecoglou’s side have appeared to turn things around and adjust to this style of football. Now, it looks like they are ready to challenge for the Scottish Premiership title.

Of course, it is too early to get too excited about things and we all know how quickly things can change in football. However, the early signs are very promising to say the least.

There are some worries for the Hoops still though, one of them being the injuries that Mikey Johnston and Karamoko Dembele suffered during pre-season. And while Johnston might not be too far away from a return to the pitch, Dembele’s injury appears to be a long-term one. While speaking in a media conference on Celtic’s official YouTube channel and as reported by 67 Hail Hail, Postecoglou said:

"“Both have been really unfortunate with their injuries.“Karamoko is a bit of a long-term one, so he’s a fair bit away in terms of rehab.“Mikey is getting closer. He’s working hard at training. We’re hoping post-international break he’ll be able to join the group. We’ve got to be a little bit careful with him.”"

Celtic handed long-term injury blow

It must be said that Dembele was very unlucky when it comes to the timing of his injury. Impressing early on in pre-season, it was looking like he was going to get first-team opportunities this season.

The talent has never been in question with the youngster but he has not quite managed to break into the first-team picture yet. That could have changed this season but now, it remains to be seen when he returns from his long-term injury.

On the other hand, Johnston appears to be closer to a return. But injuries have been a problem with him in recent seasons as well. Not too long ago, it looked like he was close to becoming a first-team regular at Parkhead. But a number of spells out on the sidelines due to injuries have prevented that from happening.
