Celtic have already made some significant additions to their squad this summer and it looks like they are not planning to stop there, and will make further signings before the transfer window closes.
This just goes on to show the magnitude of the squad rebuild that was required at Parkhead this summer. Kyogo Furuhashi, Liel Abada, Carl Starfelt, Joe Hart, James McCarthy, Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide have already arrived at the club but there are certain positions which still need reinforcements.
Right-back is one such area. Anthony Ralston must be commended for his spectacular performances in recent weeks as he has been one of the Hoops’ best players this season. But he is the only recognised right-back in the squad at the moment and as a result, one more addition is still needed there.
It looks like Josip Juranovic will be that addition and a move does not appear to be far away either. As reported by Sky Sports, the Croatian right-back is currently undergoing a medical in Glasgow as he nears a move to Celtic.

Juranovic is in Glasgow and undergoing a medical as a move to Celtic nears
Juranovic can be a spectacular addition to this squad. He is good defensively and great going forward. As a result, he could be a good fit in Ange Postecoglou’s style of football.
At the start of the season, many believed right-back to be one of the areas where the Hoops were weak. But following the recent performances of Ralston and with a move for Juranovic appearing to be close as well, it might actually be one of the side’s biggest strengths right now.
Juranovic has solid experience at both club and international level having represented the Croatia national team. And at 26 years of age, he is entering his prime as a footballer. Thus, this could prove to be a brilliant signing for the Glasgow giants.
