It is safe to say that things are looking up for Celtic at the moment. After a difficult start to the season, the Hoops have managed to win four games on the trot and in these games, they have outscored their opponents 16 to 4. That is certainly an impressive turnaround in such a short space of time.
But if the Hoops are to continue putting in these impressive performances through the course of the season, then they need to make signings in certain areas where they do not possess much depth at the moment.
While the club have brought in quite a few players this summer, the magnitude of the squad overhaul that they needed this time around means that they need to bring in a few more. And it does look like they will do that.
Ange Postecoglou seems confident that new signings will arrive at Parkhead soon. As reported by the Daily Record, the Celtic manager said:
"“I’m pretty confident we’ll have players in before the transfer deadline. Not pretty confident – I’m very confident.“It’s just a matter of timing and getting things done. It’s not as straight forward as it used to be.“We’re very close to a few deals I think. We just need to keep doing what we’re doing. Stay focused and disciplined.“Make sure we get the right players in and once we do it’ll help us enormously because we’re putting a big workload on a core group of players at the moment”."

Celtic appear to be closing in on a few deals
There are certainly a few positions in the squad that Postecoglou could do with a few more options in, especially at the back.
While the Hoops have looked absolutely brilliant going forward in recent weeks, the same cannot be said about things on the other end of the pitch. Right-back, left-back and centre-back are all positions that they could do with some reinforcements in.
Recent rumours have linked the club with players like Liam Scales and Josip Juranovic, both of whom play in defence and can be great additions to this team, and it remains to be seen whether the club can get these deals over the line before the transfer window closes.
One thing is for sure, the next couple of weeks will be very interesting. And what kind of moves the club make during this period of time could have a huge impact on their season.
