While Celtic have made quite a few additions in this summer transfer window, it does look like they need to bring in a few more. It does feel like Ange Postecoglou needs more options in his squad if the club are to keep up their recent performances.
The Hoops need to strengthen their defence further although they have added Osaze Urhoghide and Carl Starfelt to their squad this summer.
With the departure of Kristoffer Ajer, the club could do with another option at centre-back with Christopher Jullien yet to return from his injury and Starfelt taking time to adjust to the Scottish game.
Some recent rumours suggested that a loan move for Ben Davies might be on the cards with the player set to leave Anfield in search of regular playing time. Celtic were believed to be one of the clubs interested in signing him but the move won’t be happening.

Davies won’t be joining Celtic this summer
As reported by Sheffield United’s official website, the club have signed Davies on a season-long loan.
It is not hard to see why a team like Sheffield United would want to sign him considering his vast experience in the Championship. On the other hand, a move to Parkhead won’t take place this time around either.
The club had tried to sign him on a pre-contract in January as well but Liverpool swooped in towards the end of the winter transfer window and signed him on a permanent basis. He has not played a competitive game of football for Jurgen Klopp’s side till now though and as a result, a season-long loan made a lot of sense for him this summer.
Davies could have been a solid addition for the Hoops and is someone who the club appear to have had on their radar for a while. But once again, they will have to turn their sights elsewhere.
