With four straight wins, it is safe to say that Celtic have a lot of momentum on their side at the moment. And in these past four games, they have managed to outscore their opponents 16-4.

When Ange Postecoglou arrived at the club, it was clear that there was a lot of work to be done after the Hoops’ disappointing 2020/21 campaign that saw them finish 25 points behind the Rangers in the Scottish Premiership and without a trophy after a long time.

If the early signs are anything to go by then the fans should be absolutely delighted. Celtic are playing some incredible football at the moment and winning too.

The only thing that they must be worried about going forward is their defence, which still looks a bit shaky at times. While Anthony Ralston has stepped his game up, they still need to sign another right-back due to the lack of depth in the position. Centre-back and left-back are also areas that Postecoglou could do with more options in.

Celtic must strengthen their defence this summer

While the recent results are very promising, more signings are needed at the back. This squad is not perfect and the defence could become a major worry in the big games or tight ones.

A right-back is needed to compete with Ralston, who has been absolutely brilliant in recent weeks, for the first-team spot. At left-back, they could do with another option as well with Boli Bolingoli yet to make an appearance this season. At centre-back also, another addition might be important.

With a few weeks of the summer transfer window still left, the Hoops have time on their hands to make these signings. And if they can get them over the line, then it will certainly be a team ready to compete for the Scottish Premiership title this season.
