After a difficult start to the season, there is a lot of positivity around Celtic at the moment. The club have won three games on the trot now and have kept clean sheets in the previous two, outscoring their opponents 13-2 over the course of these three games.
It is clear that the team is improving and quickly adjusting to Ange Postecoglou’s style of football. And some of it has been a joy to watch already. Considering the fact that the manager has not even been in Glasgow for two months yet, what could potentially come in the future should definitely excite the supporters.
There are still areas that the Hoops need to improve in though. One of them is their depth at right-back.
Anthony Ralston has been impressive in recent weeks and looks like a player transformed in Postecoglou’s system. But he is the only recognised right-back in the squad at the moment and they need to bring in another player there. One player that they have been linked with recently is Manchester City’s Yan Couto.

Couto reportedly confirms visit to Celtic Park
As reported by City Xtra, Couto has confirmed directly to City Xtra that he visited Celtic Park on Thursday night for their Europa League qualifier against FK Jablonec.
The 19-year-old must have been impressed with what he saw as the Hoops got a 3-0 victory in the second leg to win the tie 7-2 on aggregate. They also played some delightful football on the night.
The youngster is very highly rated but if he does end up staying at Manchester City, it is unlikely that he will get too many first-team chances considering their incredible squad depth. Thus, he could leave on a season-long loan this summer.
It will be interesting to see if the Hoops do decide to make a move for him. Couto spent the previous season on loan at Girona and is yet to play top division football.
