Celtic have their eyes set on a return to the top spot in Scotland after a disappointing 2020/21 campaign that saw them lose out on their 10IAR chance and led to Neil Lennon’s exit in the middle of the season as the Rangers ultimately won the Premiership title by a gap of 25 points.

This led to the appointment of Ange Postecoglou, although there were many twists and turns along the way. And it is looking like the manager is already starting to put his fingerprints on this team.

If the Hoops do manage to pull off a league title win this season, John Hartson believes that it would be the biggest league win of all time.

While speaking on Go Radio and as reported by The Scottish Sun, Hartson said:

"“If Ange was to go and win the league this season at Celtic, it would be the biggest league win of all time.“When you think where Celtic have had to come from, changing the manager, he’s come in with no director of football, no head of recruitment, he’s almost picking the players himself, so we’re led to believe.“He’s almost had to build a new team right from the goalkeeper all the way up to a centre forward.”"

Would Celtic winning the Premiership really be the biggest league win of all time?

It would certainly be a remarkable achievement for Postecoglou and the Hoops, if they can win the Premiership this time around after the club had finished 25 points behind the Rangers last season.

To come back after last season and win this season, after so much had gone wrong in the previous campaign, would be incredible. Of course, it is just the start of the campaign and there are a lot of games to be played before the league table even starts to take shape.

There are certainly bright signs coming from Parkhead though. Celtic have played well and scored 13 times in their last three matches with a couple of wins over FK Jablonec in the Europa League third qualifying round and a win over Dundee in the Premiership.

Thus, the Hoops are on a three-game winning streak at the moment. On the other hand, the Rangers have lost their last three on the trot. As a result, it is safe to say that the early season momentum is with Postecoglou’s side.
