Kyogo Furuhashi arrived at Parkhead with a lot of expectations and it is safe to say that he has made a wonderful start to life in a Celtic shirt. The Japanese star has scored 4 goals in his first 2 starts for the club, including a hattrick against Dundee on his home debut.

Thus, the fans will be delighted with Furuhashi’s performances till now. He looks like a brilliant striker, whose game is based more on movement and positioning rather than strength and physicality.

That was something that many were wondering when the club signed him – could he succeed in a physical league like the Premiership? While it is still very early, it does look like he can.

Interestingly, Ange Postecoglou believes that Furuhashi can get even better moving forward. As reported by the Glasgow Times, the manager said:

"“He’s still learning and still understanding how we want to play. It’s a different league, a different culture and a new set of team-mates for him so I’m sure he will get better.“What we do know about him is – and people saw this against Dundee – that he’s a talented footballer. Forget his talent and his physical attributes: he’s an intelligent footballer and that’s why I think he’ll get better.”"

Can Furuhashi get even better at Celtic?

To be honest, while he won’t be scoring hattricks every day, it is certainly possible that Furuhashi can get even better moving forward.

He has not been at Parkhead for long, and is playing in Europe for the first time in his career. Thus, it is expected that it will take him a little time to adjust to his new surroundings and new teammates.

The fact that he is scoring goals even now is a very exciting thought though. If he can continue to find the back of the net for the Hoops then he has the potential to be an absolute superstar at Parkhead.

His versatility can also be a huge bonus as we go through the campaign. Furuhashi is capable of playing both as a striker and as a left-winger. And while he has done wonderfully up front till now, you never know what a situation might call for him.

Overall, the manager and the fans must be absolutely delighted with how Furuhashi has done till now. It remains to be seen if he can get even better in the future.
