It has not been long since Ange Postecoglou arrived in Glasgow. In fact, it has been less than two months. And already, it is looking like he is starting to turn things around at Celtic.
The Hoops put in a wonderful performance against FK Jablonec, as they got themselves a 3-0 win in the second leg of their Europa League third qualifying round tie and a 7-2 win on aggregate. It is safe to say that there were a lot of positives to take from the game.
First and foremost was the incredible football that the team played at times. Secondly, a number of players put in great individual performances and finally it looks like they are getting back the habit of winning as this was the club’s third win on the trot.
It was also the first game in over a year in front of a large Parkhead crowd and Postecoglou’s first. And he seemed to enjoy the experience. While speaking with BBC Sportsound [21:55] and as reported by 67 Hail Hail, the manager said:
"“It was brilliant. It was everything everyone said it would be to me. It was really special.“We’re asking a lot from core group of players, without much depth, and we want to play a high energy game.“Having the crowd behind us gives them a bit more energy. It was a fantastic atmosphere.”"

It looks like Celtic are starting to turn things around
Now, it goes without saying that while the club might be back to winning ways, there are still a number of positions in the squad that need reinforcements. Right-back, left-back and centre-back are still areas that Postecoglou could do with a few more options in and at striker as well if Odsonne Edouard ends up leaving.
Hopefully, those additions will be made soon. That would make this team even better moving forward. But overall, there is a lot to be happy about coming out of the game.
Celtic will now take on AZ Alkmaar in the play-off round of the Europa League which are expected to be two very tough games. But these recent performances should give the players a lot of confidence going into the tie.
