Celtic have made several signings recently but they are yet to bring a right-back to Parkhead this summer. And that is a position that they need to strengthen in.

Anthony Ralston has been very impressive in recent weeks and has looked like a player transformed. The 22-year-old has even scored a couple of wonderful goals this season. But at the end of the day, he is the only recognised right-back in the squad at the moment and the Hoops need to make additions there.

For the last several weeks, the club have been linked with a move for Aurelio Buta but that transfer saga has dragged on. And now, Josip Juranovic appears to be the player that they have on their radar.

As reported by Sky Sports, Juranovic is keen on a move to Celtic as Legia Warsaw brace themselves for an approach. The Croatian international is believed to be available for a transfer fee around £2.5 million (€3 million).

Celtic have been handed Juranovic transfer boost

Juranovic could be a brilliant signing for the Hoops. He certainly has the pedigree to succeed at Parkhead.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored once and provided 10 assists in 40 appearances for Legia Warsaw till now. He has also made 10 appearances for the Croatia national team.

Thus, it goes without saying that someone like Juranovic could be a solid addition to this team and he could be a brilliant fit in Ange Postecoglou’s style of football.

After a slow start to the transfer window, the recent signs have certainly been promising for the Hoops as they are being linked with some excellent players at the moment. Now, it remains to be seen if the club can get these deals over the line.

Things are looking up on the pitch as well as the club are coming off of back-to-back wins and face FK Jablonec next in the second leg of their Europa League third qualifying round tie. They will go into the game with a 4-2 advantage from the first leg.
