Ryan Christie has been in brilliant form for Celtic during Ange Postecoglou’s time as the club’s manager. He is arguably the most important player in the team right now and even produced three assists in the 6-0 win against Dundee.

The Scottish international seems to be a perfect fit in Postecoglou’s style of football and as a result, most fans would be hoping that he extends his stay at the club. His current deal is believed to run out in January of next year.

It does look like things are finally falling into place at Parkhead as the Hoops produced one of their best performances in a long time in their 6-0 win against Dundee. And if they can continue to perform like this then there is no doubt that they will be challenging for the Premiership title this season.

There appears to be positive news on the midfielder’s contract situation as well. As reported by The Scottish Sun, contrary to rumours, Christie is believed to be very much open to the opportunity to sign a new contract with Celtic and enjoys working with Postecoglou.

Celtic will receive a major boost if Christie extends his contract

It is safe to say that Christie has been superb this season and is a very important member of this team right now. Thus, him signing a contract extension would be a massive boost to the Hoops.

Now, it remains to be seen what the future holds but it is very positive that the player seems to be open to the prospect of extending his stay at Parkhead.

It must be pointed out though that it is not just Christie who has been performing well recently. Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi and Callum McGregor have also looked very good, while Anthony Ralston looks like a player transformed over the past few weeks. It is still very early in the campaign though and it will be important that the team continue to build on these recent wins and keep getting better.
