Celtic have brought in a number of players over the course of the current summer transfer window. Kyogo Furuhashi, Liel Abada, Carl Starfelt, Joe Hart, James McCarthy, Osaze Urhoghide and Liam Shaw are the new faces at Parkhead this season. And a few more are expected to arrive over the coming weeks as well.
The Hoops’ start to the campaign has not been great. They are already out of the UEFA Champions League qualification phase and lost their opening Premiership game against Hearts as well. The 4-2 away win against FK Jablonec was not the perfect performance but it must have been a confidence booster.
Two of the club’s new signings, Furuhashi and Abada, found the back of the net on the day. And Davie Provan appears to have been impressed by the duo. He also believes that the Hoops need a couple of strikers and pair of centre-backs next.
In his column in The Scottish Sun, he wrote:
"Liel Abada looks the part with Kyogo Furuhashi also looking good value. For what it’s worth, I thought Celts played well enough to win at Tynecastle but had no penetration.A couple of strikers and a pair of centre-backs who don’t ball-watch should be next on Ange’s shopping list."

Celtic have a big week ahead of them
The Hoops have the chance to turn things around a bit this early in the season. The Rangers lost against Dundee United this weekend, meaning Celtic can go level on points with Steven Gerrard’s side when they face Dundee.
After that, they have the second leg of their Europa League third qualifying round tie against FK Jablonec. Heading into the game, they have a two-goal lead over the visitors from the first leg and the game will also be played in front of a full Celtic Park in what should be a massive boost to Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Win both games and things will be looking much better than they were a few days ago. It also looks like things are falling into place a bit when it comes to the new signings and as they get settled into their new surroundings, hopefully they will perform even better.
Abada is already looking like a great addition to this team and Furuhashi has opened his account as well. Now let’s hope that the other new signings quickly find their feet too.
