Celtic are keen on exciting Croatian international star
Celtic have already made several signings in the summer transfer window. But they are expected to strengthen in a few more positions over the coming weeks, as they look to bounce back from the disappointment of the 2020/21 campaign.
One position that they must strengthen in over the summer transfer window is right-back. At this point of time, Anthony Ralston is the only recognised right-back in the squad.
Thus, making a signing there appears to be a priority for the club and they have been linked with several right-backs over the course of the last few months. And the most recent player to be linked with the Hoops might be the most exciting.
As reported by Sky Sports, Celtic are keen on Croatia’s Josip Juranovic. The 25-year-old Legia Warsaw star is potentially available this summer and the Hoops have put him on their list of potential options as they continue to search for a new right-back. Fiorentina and Spartak Moscow have also shown an interest in the player.

Juranovic could be a brilliant signing for Celtic
Juranovic featured for Croatia at EURO 2020 and even started the game against Scotland. And it is safe to say that if the Hoops can sign him, he could be a brilliant signing for them.
He had a great 2020/21 campaign with Legia Warsaw. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored once and provided 8 assists for them in 32 appearances.
Someone like Juranovic could be a good fit in Ange Postecoglou’s style of football. He is a brilliant crosser of the ball and that is the kind of full-back that the Hoops could certainly do with in their squad.
The link with Juranovic is interesting though considering the fact that Celtic are believed to be closing in on a move for Royal Antwerp’s Aurelio Buta.
Could the club try to sign two right-backs this summer? If that was the case then it could possibly become one of the strongest positions in the squad this season. It remains to be seen what the future holds.
