Celtic have agreed important €3.5 million transfer move
Celtic have already made quite a few additions to their squad this summer. Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi, Carl Starfelt, Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide have all been signed. But the club need to make several more if they are to challenge for the Scottish Premiership title.
One of the positions that they need to bring in reinforcements in as soon as possible is right-back. At this point of time, Anthony Ralston is the only recognised right-back in the squad and he is yet to show that he can be the long-term answer there.
As a result, they have been linked with several right-backs over the course of the last few months. And it looks like they are finally getting close to signing one.
Journalist Ekrem Konur tweeted out that Celtic have agreed to shell out the €3.5 million transfer fee that Royal Antwerp want for Aurelio Buta.

Buta looks set to join Celtic this summer
Buta came through the Benfica youth system but was not able to break into the first-team there. He has also represented Portugal at multiple youth levels.
It is at Royal Antwerp that he has made his mark in senior football. While he might not have featured very heavily last season, he had a very impressive 2019/20 campaign. And not too long ago, he was linked with Wolves although that move never materialised. Newcastle United were another club once believed to be interested in his signature.
Buta could be a good signing for the Hoops and a good fit in Ange Postecoglou’s style of football. Although the Portuguese right-back does well on the defensive side of things, it is on the other end of the pitch that he truly shines. He possesses good pace as well as crossing and dribbling ability. And those strengths could be further magnified playing for the Glasgow giants.
