While there have been a number of positive signs coming out of pre-season for Celtic, it is also clear that they must make additions in a number of positions. One of them is left wing.
The club have not possessed much depth on the wings for a while now. And with both Mikey Johnston and Karamoko Dembele picking up injuries, options are even more limited at the moment.
Also, James Forrest spent the majority of the previous campaign out of action due to injuries. As a result, it would make sense for the club to bring in another winger this summer and one player that they have been linked with in recent times is HNK Gorica’s Kristijan Lovric.
The 25-year-old has been in brilliant form for a few years now, and has shown that he is great at both finding the back of the net as well as setting his teammates up. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 18 goals and provided 7 assists in 32 appearances last season. Through the course of his time at HNK Gorica, he has scored 44 goals and provided 24 assists in 98 appearances.

Lovric could be a great signing for Celtic
Someone like Lovric could be a brilliant signing for the Hoops. In a number of games last season, we saw the club struggle to finish off chances. As a result, a winger as prolific in front of goal as the Croatian could be a solid addition.
Recent rumours have suggested that the club are interested in signing Lovric. Now it remains to be seen if they end up making the move for him.
If early signs are anything to go by, then the Hoops have already brought in a brilliant player this summer in the form of Liel Abada, who could be a major feature on the right wing for years to come. Now, it remains to be seen if they can repeat the trick on the opposite wing as well.
