Celtic must make transfer move for 58-goal winger
Heading into the new season, Celtic find themselves light on options in a number of areas. And the club must sign another winger as soon as possible.
At this point of time, James Forrest, Mikey Johnston, Karamoko Dembele and Liel Abada are the four recognised wingers in Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
But Forrest and Johnston spent the majority of the previous campaign on the sidelines due to injuries. Dembele has unquestionable potential but has not played much first-team football till now. And Abada is 19 years of age and just arrived at Parkhead. As a result, he would be expected to take some time to adjust to his new surroundings.
On top of that, Johnston and Dembele have both picked up injuries in pre-season, further limiting Postecoglou’s options on the wings. As a result, the club should be looking to sign another winger as soon as possible and HNK Gorica’s Kristijan Lovric is someone that they should definitely consider making a move for.

Lovric could be a great signing for Celtic
The Croatian left-winger has a very impressive record in front of goal and is a consistent provider of assists as well. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 58 goals in 125 appearances through the course of his career. His time at HNK Gorica has perhaps been even more impressive. In 97 appearances for them till now, he has scored 44 goals and provided 23 assists.
Thus, someone like Lovric can be a great addition to the Hoops. Now, it remains to be seen if the club do end up making a move for him.
Celtic have been linked with Lovric in recent months and it is not hard to see why. The 25-year-old has the ability to cut in and find the back of the net himself, as well as creating chances for those around him. Some of his strengths are similar to that of Ryan Christie, who might not have had a great 2020/21 campaign but is a brilliant player when on form.
