Odsonne Edouard has perhaps been the best player at Celtic for a few years now. The French striker has been the main goalscorer for the Hoops and has crossed the 20-goal mark in three straight seasons. And on top form, he is arguably the best player in the entire Scottish Premiership.

Edouard has only one year left on his current deal though and as a result, a summer transfer exit is expected.

A number of clubs have been linked with the Frenchman in recent times and Brighton & Hove Albion appear to be one of the sides interested in his signature.

As reported by Express, Brighton & Hove Albion are keen to see if a deal can be done for Edouard and are prepared to make an offer for the 23-year-old.

Could Edouard be on his way out of Celtic this summer?

There is no doubt that Edouard is one of the best players that the Hoops have at this point of time. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 83 goals and provided 37 assists for the club till now.

But with just a year left on his current deal and an extension not looking likely at this point of time, a move away from Parkhead would not come as a surprise.

Now, it remains to be seen if Brighton & Hove Albion do end up making a move. Leicester City were heavily linked with the French striker earlier in the transfer window but could not get a deal over the line ultimately.

The Hoops do not appear to be keen on letting their stars leave for bargain transfer fees this summer despite them having just a year left on their current deals. Thus, it will be interesting to see what kind of a transfer fee they would be looking for when it comes to Edouard and if Brighton & Hove Albion are willing to match that.
