Celtic’s transfer plans are certainly picking up pace. It had not been long since the club had announced the signing of Liel Abada. And now, they have already also announced the signing of Kyogo Furuhashi and Bosun Lawal.
Furuhashi is certainly somebody that has managed to catch the attention of the fans ever since the announcement was made. There were not many rumours linking the club with the player and it almost came out of the blue.
He certainly does look like a prospect though. Possessing good pace, dribbling ability and an eye for goal, the 26-year-old certainly looks like someone with a lot of potential. He has ability to play on the wings as well as a striker.
Many will be wondering about how he will adjust to the Scottish game though, considering the fact that he has never played club football in Europe before. Andres Iniesta though seems to believe that he can succeed in Europe. As reported by the Daily Record, the Spanish legend said:
"“To be honest, he absolutely has the talent to play in Europe. He’s leading the J1’s scoring chart, but it’s not just that. He’s got strong technique, and I believe he can succeed in Europe.”"

Furuhashi can be a great signing for Celtic
Having played together at Vissel Kobe, Iniesta will certainly be well aware of Furuhashi’s qualities. Another man who must be as well is Ange Postecoglou, who was the manager of Yokohama F. Marinos before arriving at Parkhead.
Furuhashi has certainly been impressive during his time at Vissel Kobe. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 15 goals and provided 2 assists in 21 appearances this season. The 26-year-old also has 6 appearances for the Japan national team to his name and scored 3 goals for them.
Now it remains to be seen how he adjusts to Scottish football. He is not the biggest player in the world and would not be expected to be an aerial threat up front. But his versatility means that he can be used in multiple positions and provide Postecoglou’s side fluidity moving forward.
